Growing up in and around New York City, Alli has always known she wanted to be an illustrator. When she was very little, Alli would drag huge illustration annuals home from the library and pore over every magazine that came in the mail. Not much has changed over the years.
Alli graduated from Parsons School of Design and got her start in illustration with a full page color illustration for The Anchorage Daily News. Her career continued to expand with assignments from The New York Times, Travel + Leisure and Seventeeen Magazine. In 2006 Alli was chosen to illustrate Neiman Marcus’ “100 Years of Fashion”, a limited edition leather-bound journal, and in 2007 she created a special illuminated baby gift card for Target. In 2008, Alli's "flat family" of glamorous and whimsical local characters graced the banners that hung proudly in New York City's Fashion District for three years. Alli’s illustrations also appear on a limited edition kate spade bag and Tiffany & Co.'s delightful coloring cards.
Alli is proud to have been the sole illustrator of Real Simple FAMILY from 2006-2009, for which she won a Society of Publication Design Award. She just completed her third "Little BG" catalog for Bergdorf Goodman, and is working on a coloring book for the children's department of Neiman Marcus. New York City has always been Alli's biggest muse. Alli enjoys the smell of department stores, playing a vicious game of Gin Rummy, doing drawings that make people laugh, and wearing lots of bracelets. Her little dog Nino is the boss of her.
